  • The Global Learning Symposium took place from 28 April to 1 May 1985 at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, Toronto, Canada. It was jointly sponsored by the United Nations University, the Canadian International Development Agency, and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Edward Ploman, Vice-Rector of UNU, Lewis Perinbam, Vice-President, Margaret Catley-Carlson, President, CIDA and Bernard Shapiro, Director of OISE supported the project from its inception.
